Signup process: 

 

  1. Download the lease here.
  2. Note: You will see references to A.H. Root Building LLC and Plante Properties. These are the formal entities we are using to manage the building and lease process.
  3. Read the lease thoroughly.
  4. Decide which plan works best for you. [Plan details can be found in the FAQ]
  5. Select a plan from below.
  6. Selecting a link will create an email verifiying you understand the lease, and asking for availability.
  7. Please enter your name, address, phone and email to the bottom of the message to confirm your understanding.
  8. Sign Up:
  9. If there is availability, you will receive an invoice by email.This invoice will include the first month's rent and an additional $30 for a security deposit.
  10. If we have reached capacity, we will put you on a waiting list, and notify you by email.
  11. Follow the payment instructions on the email to pay either by paypal or credit card.
  12. As soon as we receive your payment, we will confirm your tenancy.
  13. We will allocate one access card for each paid tenant. We can either mail this to you (please send us a valid mailing address), or it can be picked up in the BaseCamp offices (half a block from The Hive).
  14. If you are an Anchor, you will be assigned a workspace. Hotdesk and Nights and Weekend tenants can pick from any of the Hotdesk workstations during each visit.
  15. You will also receive the SSID and Passphrase for the secure wireless in the space. This will change periodically for security purposes. Valid tenants will receive notification of these changes well before they happen.
  16. As this process is new, there will be many questions and suggestions. Please send those here, and we will incorporate the answers into the FAQ.
